In this month’s Messenger, in Sunday Bulletins and on the table at the back of the sanctuary, you will find envelopes for the 2010 UCC “Neighbors In Need’ drive or the ABC’s 2010 “World Mission Offering”. This “Fall Offering’ will be divided equally between the ABC and the UCC. To make a contribution, use either envelope.
The World Mission offering supports the ABC’c International Ministries, including missionaries, mission education, promoting health and other projects to help end human suffering. The UCC’s Neighbor in Need program represents its commitment to justice advocacy, hunger and human suffering in our country.
Our Fall Offering is an important way in which we can extend the work of our Lord far beyond the Warner town line, so give thankfully and generously any Sunday in September for this appeal.
Time to Save Shoeboxes for ‘Operation Christmas Child”
Shoeboxes can be left in Fellowship Hall. Please remember as you begin gathering things to give for the shoeboxes, that only items than can fit in a shoebox can be used.
Christianity and World Religions – 6 week study
A study entitled ‘Christianity and World Religions – Wrestling with Questions People Ask” will begin on Sunday October 3rd.. This is a six-week study in video form by Adam Hamilton. The study explores four major world religions – Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism, and compares the beliefs of each with those of Christianity. Sherry Thomas has agreed to lead this study.
